Val Wheater Art

Hello, I’m Val, thanks for checking out my website!
I was born in B.C. and have lived most of my life here, but I was an Airforce "brat" so lived 9 years of my young life overseas. There is no doubt that instilled a love of travel in me and an appreciation for other countries and cultures! My artwork is inspired by my love of gardens, animals, and scenes from travels. I have always enjoyed being creative and have long admired those who can move and inspire others with their art. In 2006 I took up water colour lessons and quickly fell in love with the creative process. I eventually gave oils and acrylics a try and I’ve played a bit with mixed media. I find the process of creating a painting to be almost meditative…it nurtures my soul.
